- Dark green, hardy and upright growth pattern, Creeping bentgrass is typically used on putting greens
- Seeding Rate: 2-3 lbs. per 1000 sq. ft.
- The best time to seed creeping bentgrass is when the temperature is 55 degrees Fahrenheit. Loosen the soil to a depth of at least 3 to 4 four inches. Spread seeds over the raked area and mulch over the seeded area with straw. Keep the seeds moist until they germinate. Light, frequent watering is necessary on these highly permeable green’s mixtures to keep the seedbed moist. It takes about 7 to 15 days for seeds to germinate.
