TRULY SQUIRREL-PROOF FEEDERS BUILT TO LAST!
Disposable products are no longer an option. All of our products are designed with our planet in mind: all parts are easily replaceable. The future of new products, manufacturing and the preservation of our planet must be linked to a vision of products made to last.
CLEANING YOUR FEEDER
- Frequency of cleaning varies according to climate.
- Heavy bird traffic can increase the frequency of cleaning
- Washing by Hand. Wear Gloves!
- Dismantle and discard any accumulation of wild bird food.
- Wash by hand in warm soapy water and/or in 1/10 bleach solution.
- Make sure all components are completely dry before assembling.
- Warning: Bird droppings contain contaminants. Avoid skin contact.
HOW IT WORKS
Openings in the shroud align with the feeding ports, providing birds access to the food. When a squirrel climbs onto the feeder, its weight automatically forces the shroud down, closing access to the ports. Squirrels and some large birds are foiled but not harmed in any way.
- REMOVABLE PERCHES
- FOR BOTH PERCHING AND CLINGING BIRDS
- WEIGHT-ADJUSTABLE SPRING MECHANISM
THE NEED FOR CLEARANCE
Remember it’s a squirrel’s weight that triggers the closing mechanism. If a squirrel can reach over from a nearby foothold and avoid placing its weight on the feeder, it can access the birdseed. To overcome this problem, allow for at least 18 in/47 cm of clearance around the feeder. This will force the squirrel to climb onto the feeder and trigger the closing mechanism.
MORE INFORMATION
BROME CARE
Should you need a part covered under our Brome Care, we will happily provide it to extend the life of our products.
NO TOOLS REQUIRED
All our bird feeders are designed to be dismantled by hand into individual components without the use of tools. This allows for easy cleaning and maintenance.
SEED VENTILATION SYSTEM
Our patented seed ventilation system is another standout feature. It allows hot, humid air to escape and keeps the seed fresh for longer periods, attracting more birds and enhancing their feeding experience.
WHERE TO PLACE YOUR FEEDER
Position your feeder wherever you like to get great close-up views of your favorite birds. Hang it over a window, in a tree, on a deck, from a fence, in your garden, on the side of your house, from a rain trough or over sliding doors. Use brackets, extension hooks, tree hooks AND our pole systems to hang your feeder at the 18-inch (47 cm) recommended clearance.
