Description
- ⭐Real Wildcrafted Purple Sea Moss from St. Lucia – This rare purple variety is harvested by small coastal divers and naturally shade dried. The deep color comes from real ocean exposure and natural pigmentation. Nothing artificial.
- ⭐Premium Due to Extra Care in Processing – Purple moss requires careful drying to protect its natural pigment. Unlike gold varieties, the purple color can fade if sun dried, so each batch is handled with extra attention to preserve its natural pigment and distinctive appearance.
- ⭐Stronger Ocean Smell and Taste – Because purple moss requires gentle handling, it is not heavily rinsed during drying. This helps protect the pigment but also means the dried moss retains a stronger natural ocean aroma and flavor compared to gold sea moss.
- ⭐More Natural Sea Salt on the Surface – To keep the purple color intact, the ocean water is not fully washed off during initial drying. This results in more natural sea salt on the moss compared to gold. This dissolves easily when rinsed before use.
- ⭐Natural Anthocyanin Pigment The color comes from anthocyanins, the same plant compounds that give berries their deep shades. The mineral profile is similar to gold sea moss, but this variety contains naturally occurring purple compounds from ocean exposure.
