The Ariana Collection
by Bloem
Constructed from resin, the Ariana planter is lightweight and durable. It features a self-watering disk that acts like an internal drainage reservoir to help plants stay strong and blooming. If deciding to use outdoors, we recommend drilling drainage holes at the bottom of the pot to allow excess water to escape. The Ariana an ideal replacement to clay and ceramic pots and comes in a variety of colors and sizes to suit any and all styles.
Colors available: Black, Terra Cotta, Living Green, Chocolate, Muted Terra Cotta, Charcoal, Misty Blue, Merlot, Pebble Stone, Burnt Red
Sizes available: 6″, 8″, 10″, 12″, 16″, 20″
Key Features:
- Self-watering disk included
- Thick resin construction for optimal durability
- UV-resistant to prevent fading
- Matte finish resists scratches, dirt, and fingerprints
- Optional drillable drainage holes allow for excess water to release if used outdoors
- Proudly made in the USA
How does the self-watering disk work?
Inside the bottom of the planter is a hidden reservoir that holds approx. 1 inch to 3.5 inches of water (depending on planter size). The self-watering insert keeps dirt and roots above the hidden reservoir line while constantly providing healthy “greenhouse-like” moisture through the evaporation process. The water chamber is connected by small porous channels filled with soil, which then acts as a water wick. As water is used by the plant or evaporates from the surface of the soil, capillary action draws more water up from base of planter. The soil has just the right amount of water all the time, but also maintains air pockets, which the plant roots need to stay healthy.
For optimal plant health, we recommend using the self-watering disk in controlled environments, like inside your home, or on a covered patio!
Love the Ariana and want to use it outdoors, or control your own watering schedule? We made it easy!Simply drill drainage holes at the bottom of the pot in the indented areas.
