California Privet, 3-4 ft

Description

California Privet, or Oval Leaf Privet, is infamous for its use as a privacy hedge throughout the estates of the Hamptons. It’s speedy growth and dense branching can be tightly pruned to create artistic hedges that can not be seen through. A very tough plant, California Privet can handle Full-Sun to Part-Shade as well as windy and salty conditions, making it a perfect choice for the coastal areas of Long Island. It is important to fertilize and prune your privet hedge twice a year for optimal growth and performance. Due to high-demand, there has been a shortage of privet throughout the Northeast since 2015.
