The quick release latches give the shield race car aesthetic and functionality. The cover is precision machined from a high quality plastic called Hydex 1050. The racing inspired quick release latches pair with custom made stainless steel standoffs to provide the ultimate convenience when the cover needs to be removed. For added stability, we have installed padding on the under side of the cover.Function and CompatibilityTo remove the cover, simply depress the two quick release buttons and lift up. Installing it is even easier, just align each release over it’s mounting point and press the cover down until it snaps into place. The standoffs install in place of the OEM battery tie-down nuts.
