From cult classic to contemporary indie rock mainstream, offset body guitars remain among the coolest of designs, even decades after their inception. Originally meant as genre specific instruments, “offsets” crossed musical boundaries to regain popularity in the 21st century. Indio OS40 DLX Plus Guitars honor the history of offsets by combining their timeless style with Indio’s unmatched value.
Sitting at the top of the Indio guitar line, DLX Plus Guitars feature the same premium materials and performance of high-end instruments, at a fraction of the cost. OS40 DLX Plus Guitars feature alder bodies with maple necks, as well as custom soapbar pickups and premium electronics. Known for their gritty and raw tone, “soapbar” single coil pickups produce a tone that is somewhere between that of classic single coil and dual coil humbucker style pickups. Although less common than single coil or humbucker pickups, soapbar pickups are responsible for some of the greatest and most memorable recorded tones in rock music.
